and a better quality of life through the help of specially trained dogs.

Training assistance dogs to transform the lives of people with severe physical disabilities (many of whom are in wheelchairs) enriches human life in practical ways such as dressing and undressing, supermarket shopping and vital emergency response procedures.  In addition it provides physiological, psychological and social benefits that help keep people healthy and happy.

As a registered charity Canine Partners receives no government funding

and is wholly dependent on public donations and legacies.

Seminar for dog owners, trainers, behaviourists, breeders, veterinary & rescue staff!

Stress may contribute to many behavioural problems

like pulling on lead, destructive tendencies, over-excitement, aggression,

barking and many more unwanted symptoms.

Stress has become something of a by-word and something we read about all the time but how does it really relate to us and our dogs?  As with humans, stress may be a factor in many behavioural problems, an inability to concentrate and learn and can be a contributory factor in ill health and energy levels.  Visits to the vet, groomer or a stay in kennels can be upsetting for some dogs and can lead to a change in their behaviour in the short or long-term. Sometimes just being left alone can result in distress and unwanted behaviour.  We will look at how to recognize the symptoms and causes of stress, how to reduce them and how to make ours and our dogs lives, easier, healthier and more enjoyable.

There will also be a range of quality dog treats and toys available for sale, including many special offers. This is a great opportunity to enjoy an entertaining and interesting seminar and learn more about stress and your dog!

Unfortunately dogs cannot be accommodated on this occasion!
